It's a big world out there!


Hey all!

It's a big world out there, don't you know? I decided to mix things up a little, following on from my post on Spoonie Central Beauty blog, I had to change. We all do eventually, and this blog is a testament to my change. People can change in all kinds of ways, when I was with my ex I lost so much of myself. I'm slowly regaining that, and I find that I want to write more, to inspire more, and on a broader range of topics in conjunction with Chronic Illness (and my obsession with cucpakes and pink of course!). It's funny, because I used to be terrified of change; I cried when my parents moved the sofas! But now? Now I'm choosing to embrace every second of it, don't get me wrong sometimes it still throws me through a loop. Point is, I'm getting there and I'm working on it!

I have a beautiful dog, I am safely home with my family and have a wonderful partner who helps me remember how lucky I am every single day!

Q: Why did you change the name?
A: I changed the name of the blog as I felt it reflected the nature of this blog a little better. Beauty is great, and I love it, but there's so so much more to my life. All kinds of stuff, and I want to share it and write about it so you can learn from my mistakes, or be inspired to make different choices, or whatever.

Q: Why did you change from WP to Blogger?
A: My personal Chronic Illness blog is on here and I felt that having two blogs on different platforms was messing with my head a little. I was posting the wrong thing to the wrong place and it was all a big mess.

Q: So what are you going to talk about here? 
A: Well, my lovelies, aren't you in for a treat? EVERYTHING. I'm going to talk about everything and anything that pops into my head, that I feel may be beneficial or of interest to you! I'm going to review products, so you don't have to waste money, and show you cool places so you can go to them too! I'm going to talk about my conditions in an open and candid way so you can see just what it is to be poorly, and if you are poorly, hopefully you feel that you aren't alone. Because you aren't. No matter what.

Flare ups

Hello darlings, As some of you may have noticed, I hadn't posted in a while. I've been having a seriously rough go of it, no idea why until yesterday. I have direly low Iron, Folate and Vitamin D. No wonder I was feeling so rough. But as I was laying in bed, trying to rest and feeling nothing but restless, it felt like this was never ending. My new normal, and I started to get depressed. Let me tell you something, nothing was brining me joy at this point. But I involved myself in activity after activity trying to find something to bring me out of it. It was possibly the best thing I could have done, because at my lowest I - ~ Agreed to be the east herts representative for EDSUK.
